Underwriting Criteria

In order to qualify for a loan, businesses must meet all of the following requirements:

Time in Business: 2 years minimum

Collateral: See our Product page for collateral information.

Personal guarantee: Generally required on all deals.

Personal guarantee waived for entities with at least 3 years time in business and loan amount less than $150,000.

Application Checklist

The following is a checklist of the materials to prepare alongside the full loan application to request funding from the Collective Clean Energy Fund (CCEF). These materials will be requested along with a completed loan application to begin the formal underwriting process.

** Additional insurance requirements as applicable:

  • Property Insurance: For loans secured with a deed of trust
  • Flood Insurance: If in flood zone
  • Builder's Risk: Construction Loans
  • General Contractor Worker's Comp: Construction Loans
  • General Contractor Liability: Construction Loans

Fitch Ranch Artisan Meat Co.

Fitch Ranch Artisan Meat Co. is implementing a new 151.2 kWp roof-mounted solar array system to its meat processing plant facility. The business received an Energy PAL loan from CCEF for the entire project cost and they were awarded a USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant for 40% of the project cost.

Project Spotlights Featured Photo Silo Adventure Center

Silo Adventure Center

The owners of Silo Adventure Center in Grand Junction, CO decided to install a 300-panel 120 kilowatt solar system on the rooftop of the large building, which will offset 122% of energy demand. The system will produce approximately 194,470 kilowatt hours per year with savings estimated at $27,470.

All Inn Hotel

The building owner recognized that the All Inn’s mission aligned perfectly with CCEF’s by filling a financial gap for a clean energy project. The 15-year Clean Conversion Loan, with its fixed, below-market interest rate and payments amortized over the loan term, provided the financial flexibility needed to move forward with the project.
